The following is the text of a proclamation read to the Havaru
(Commons) assembled by order of the King Siri Kula Sundhura Katthiri
Bavana (Sultan Mohamed Shamsuddine III Iskander) circa 1930. The
subjects covered in the proclamation include the succession to the
throne and the drafting of a written constitution.
